MAYBEWEST MEZCAL – ARTISAN PROCESS –

PHASE 1

Our expert jimadores from the region of Nombre De Dios, Durango, in Mexico, carry in their veins a tireless spirit and an extraordinary skill: the combined expertise and superb craftsmanship of multiple generations dedicated to the collection of wild agave in the highest mountains, the jima (the harvest), and long journeys on muleback to extract the pineapple-looking orbs (piñas) that contain the agave honey, which are then baked underground for three days with volcanic stone, pine, acacia firewood, and covered with wet grass, pine leaves, ixtle, silt and natural spring water, to capture the unique essence of the nature of the region.

PHASE 2

Each agave heart is mashed with sharp axes and the mashed mezcal is placed into large oak vats for fermentation and then mellowed out with spring water. The mezcal undergoes a double distillation process in copper pot stills and is manually covered with pine bark, following the artisanal process of our production.

PHASE 3

Finally, the mezcal is filtered, homogenized and packaged in this fine-crafted bottle for you to enjoy, whether in a shot to celebrate a special moment with your friends and family, combined with your favorite flavors to reclaim your happiness and joy after challenging moments, or simply to recharge your spirits after a hard-working day.
